Sir Alex Still Angry About Evra Ban

Well, Sir Alex Ferguson is still running his mouth off about Patrice Evra’s four match ban for a nothing incident last season. And he should be angry, if what the British football legend says is true. Apparently United have been asking for a transcript of the actual charges put forth against Evra, to see if there’s any hope of appeal with the FA to have the sentence rescinded or shortened.
Ferguson of course spouted off again, telling MUTV “It’s a terrible black mark against the FA.”Can you believe we are still waiting for the official confirmation of it? We have asked for the transcript.
“They have been doing that report to make sure it is 100% watertight.
“A lot of people have been ringing about it because it is the most incredible decision in my time at this club.
“The FA have done many things but this is absolutely beyond me.”
And you know, at this point I have to kind of agree with Ferguson, United seems to be getting a raw deal in this scenario, as they have been for a while. Likely because of their unprecedented success in the Premiership. So the FA is trying to let some new blood into the title race by unfairly punishing the champions?
But fear not Manchester United, because though the FA cards be stacked against you, Edwin Van Der Sar has signed a new contract extension, keeping him with the Manchester reds for one more season. Although the Flying Dutchman is unlikely to stay at the club any longer than that, as Van Der Sar is getting old for football, at least United have a true professional to train Foster and Kuszczak.
