Cristiano Ronaldo has stated that he will announce his decision, as to whether he will remain with Manchester United or not, within the next 48 hours. Hearts in mouths United fans, Real Madrid are promising an awful lot of money to the Portuguese mid-fielder, and being that he’s clearly the best player in the world right now, an obscene amount of money may be hard for him to turn down.

Arsene Wenger has been given a job for life at Arsenal. The move came in an attempt to keep the manager at the club, and avoid his possible leave to join Paris St Germain. Why they would make the offer, I have no idea, as he hasn’t had much success as of late. His strategy for the game seems to be falling apart all together.

And finally, Manchester City has jumped ahead of Chelsea, in the race to sign Blackburn manager Mark Hughes. The Manchester side are supposedly very close to securing a deal with Hughes, while Chelsea remain in manager limbo. I would hope Hughes would be more intelligent though, than to take a job at sinking club Manchester City, as the players keep jumping ship. He’s built Blackburn into a much better squad, and that bodes well for his want to coach a bigger club. But if he goes on to a failing club like City, it could ruin his career.

Especially with an owner that doesn’t know what he’s doing. Like the decision to sack Sven Goran Eriksson in the first place, a manager who gave City a better season than they’d had in a long stretch. Not to mention putting them firmly in first place through FIFA’s fair-play rankings to play in the UEFA Cup.
